Calm Before the Storm

We're down to a matter of hours, now.  Regardless, I am not going to start writing at midnight.  I am not that excited.  But I am looking forward to the first round of assignments, despite being the one who assigned them.  Which is good.

I have already noticed a difference in my blogging style.  On my personal (if you ask nicely, I might give you the link), I generally roam around and write as I think.  Here, I'm actually making an effort to sound intelligent.

Funny how that works.  Something to do with fresh starts, perhaps?

Ah, 11:11 - make a wish!

See you on the other side, mates...when the challenge shall begin.  Rah!

Salutations

I haven't written in a long time.  Oh, sure, I've blogged.  But that doesn't count as writing.  (Yes, I am perfectly aware of the irony in this situation.)  At some recent point in time, I realized I missed it.

I hadn't noticed.
But then I did.
And now I know I do.

I miss taking letters and arranging them into words and forming those words into sentences and slinging around a pile of punctuation marks to communicate a coherent thought.  So I'm excited about this challenge, excited to be thinking in terms of language instead of photographs.

My popcorn bowl just announced its emptiness (no, really, I have no idea how it happened), as did my glass of chocolate milk, so that illogically and irrelevantly signals the end of this post.

Toodles!
